"Diego has got good pace and his delivery of the ball is excellent.
"But to me he looks more comfortable in a wide position. When he plays up front he appears to lack a little physical presence.
"However, it can't be easy for him. People have made comparisons with Garry Birtles.
"He's got to deal with the pressure of playing a club this size and maybe that is the biggest barrier for him.
"His confidence must be low not having scored but I'm sure once he does he will have made a psychological breakthrough. There is a big opportunity for him at the club now there are only three strikers.
"He has to score goals to break into the team and try to oust Van Nistelrooy and Solskjaer.
"The opportunity is there for him to grasp the nettle."
