THE boss of sportswear giant Adidas has revealed that he would like to see Manchester United and England superstar David Beckham move to Real Madrid.
The sportswear giant pays Beckham, undoubtedly the biggest sporting icon in the world, a seven-figure sum to wear its best-selling Predator boot, while it is also shirt sponsor of Real Madrid.

Mr herbert Hainer believes a transfer of Becks to Real would be a dream ticket for his company.

"David Beckham is the ideal role model, a great sportsman who clearly loves what he is doing. He is one of few true stars the game, a lot people believe they are stars but not many really are. He knows how to act off the pitch too, he does not do anything strange or criminal, he loves football and is clearly passionate about it.In Asia, people are crazy for him, and in Spain people want to see him more often."

"I don't know what is coming up, but it is definitely an interesting option for him, because Real Madrid is a great team."

Mr Hainer, who is determined to close the gap on US giant Nike at the top of the sporting tree, spoke to the M.E.N, at Adidas's Area North headquarters in Hazel Grove, where it employs 350 people.
