"I think if Manchester United are interested in a player there's always a pretty good chance of them coming to Old Trafford.
"Some players out there will look at their wage packet as their priority, and they are entitled to do that, but most players will look at the whole package.
"Our club has proven over the years that the gaffer will always give young players a chance.
On his own form:
"I'm generally disappointed with my own form this season and think there's plenty of room for improvement, hopefully next year.
"I know I'm not 26 any more, but on my day I still fancy my chances against any player in the Premiership.
"I know getting forward is not my strength these days. I have to face up to the fact that I'm a holding player."
