HOWARD STARTS TONIGHT

Tim is looking forward to a full house:

"For me, the louder the crowd, the easier it is to focus,"
Howard said. "It's more difficult to communicate; it's
easier to play. It's more motivation, easier to be inspired
to play."

His new team mates seem impressed:

Keano said

"He seems to be a confident lad. He's settled in very
quickly. I'm sure Tim will have no problems. It's just
getting used to expectations. You've got to perform week in,
week out. You can't really slack off. The competition of
players is always really tough. Hopefully, Tim will step up
a level as well."

Rio Ferdinand:

"He made a great impression straight away. He's very agile.
He's very professional. He's a good addition to the squad."

Tim himself is having to get used to life at United:

"It's night and day," Howard said. "Things are more intense.
There is an onus put on everything, the training. It's 10
times more difficult."
