From Sky:

Blackburn Rovers boss Graeme Souness has confirmed an interest in Tromso's Morten Gamst Pedersen but there could be shock competitors for his signature in the shape of Manchester United.

Souness has been closely monitoring the winger for some time, although Lars Iver Strand has also caught his eye, but Sir Alex Ferguson is hiring United's private jet in order to watch Tromso play on May 20, according to Norwegian reports.

From The Sun:

MANCHESTER UNITED have had a sensational £30million bid rejected for Fernando Torres.

It is the second time Alex Ferguson has been knocked back in his quest to land the Atletico Madrid striker. The latest offer for the 20-year-old Spaniard included £27million cash plus Uruguay frontman Diego Forlan.

But Atletico president Enrique Cerez said: "We have had an incredible offer but we have refused and we will continue to refuse. Torres is not for sale. He is one of the most talented young players in Europe and already a star in Spain. We will not consider selling our best player."

The Sun also claim that United are chasing Marseille striker Didier Drogba.
