IN SPECTOR'S EYES

"It's been a great experience, starting the last few games.

"It was difficult for me at the beginning because I got injured in pre-season and the team was doing really well and had some good results.

"But eventually it opened up for me and I was able to get into the starting line-up.

"It's obviously different playing at a smaller stadium but I'm happy to be playing in the Premiership, it's one of the top leagues in the world.

"It depends on how I develop, but yes, the opportunity to go back is always there. It's all down to how I develop and the experience I gain at Charlton.

"I went to Charlton to build up some first-team experience.

"He (Fergie) said he couldn't guarantee me enough games but with injuries anything could have been possible and I could have been playing now.

"But as it stands I'm at Charlton and I was advised it was a good opportunity to gain first-team experience.

"He said he had a lot of respect for the way Alan Curbishley built up the club and the way he runs it. He thought it was a good fit for me."
