INJURY UPDATE

SAF has said that things could be looking up for United as Paul Scholes may
not need an operation. He said

"Paul felt easier yesterday and, for the first time, it looks a little bit more
encouraging,''

"We have delayed surgery because we hoped it would settle down and it
seems to be a little bit easier now, so we won't be doing an operation for the
moment.''

However it appears some mind games are being played regarding Roy
Keane's fitness and this Sunday's fixture against Arsenal.

"I put him on the bench because if we needed someone to lift the team and
the crowd he can do it, irrespective of his injury,'' said Ferguson.

"You know Roy will find a way round the situation but whether he will start on
Sunday remains to be seen.''
