IT'S THE TEAM THAT MATTERS

Wayne Rooney is bothered about his recent goals tally as long as the team keeps winning and putting in good performances.

"We are playing well and scoring goals, the team is scoring goals, so that doesn't concern me.

"If I was missing chances and it cost us points of course it would be a problem. But at the minute we are winning all our games so it doesn't deter me.

"A lot of people have been scoring goals and the defence have been brilliant as well."

"I want to play well. As a footballer you want to be the best and want to win, I'm the same, I want to win and hate to lose but I think all the players in the dressing room will say that."

Speaking to Pravda TV he added "I have always said I want to improve on my previous goal tally,"

"I scored 19 last season and I'm just looking to beat that really and do well for the team."
