His brother and agent Roberto Assis said:

“By Wednesday we should have a definitive verdict on whether
Ronaldinho goes to Manchester or if he stays. The most
difficult thing is for the clubs (PSG and United) to reach
an agreement. We have no problems.

“He is calm. Whatever happens he has a good contract with
PSG. He is currently in Brazil on holiday but he is eager to
see what is going to happen regarding his transfer.
Negotiations are still ongoing between clubs but things are
going well as we had hoped for.”

But Sporting Life report:

‘The French television company, who are PSG's majority
shareholders, said on Monday night that they would raise 20
million euros for the cash-strapped capital side.

‘PSG are keen to recruit some fresh talent at the Parc des
Princes before the start of the new season but have been
told by French football's financial watchdog the DNCG that
they will not be allowed to recruit any players until they
have balanced their books.

‘"At the general assembly that the board of directors of the
club held today, PSG football club carried out the
restructuring of its own capital to raise 20 million euros
by June 30, 2003," said an official statement from Canal
Plus.

‘"This new effort of its shareholder, the Canal Plus group,
will also make it possible for the club to post positive
stockholders' equity on June 30, 2004."’
