Jurgen Klopp insists Jadon Sancho will come good at Man Utd

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has reassured Manchester United that they have nothing to worry about when it comes to the early season form of Jadon Sancho.

The 21-year-old has failed to register either a goal or an assist in his first 11 appearances since his £73m move to United from Borussia Dortmund in the summer and has not always been guaranteed a starting role.

Rival fans have started to poke fun at both Sancho and United for the young winger's underwhelming form, but Klopp insisted that the "world class'" youngster is going to rediscover his best form soon enough.

"Jadon Sancho is a world-class talent. Definitely," he said (via Manchester Evening News). "He has all the things you need to become really one of the best players in the world in the future. That's how it is, but he's still very young.

"At Dortmund they were obviously full of praise about him. Rightly so. I saw a lot of games where he played outstandingly well. It's a normal situation where you are, especially. I'm not, but you are, you lose patience a little bit quickly. Don't forget the options United have in his position."

On United's competition for places, Klopp also took the chance to heap praise on Mason Greenwood, who has begun the season in electric form.

Playing largely in the right wing role in which Sancho made his name at Dortmund, Greenwood has four Premier League goals to his name already this year, and Klopp confessed that he is envious of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's options in attack.

"Mason Greenwood. Wow! What a talent he is," Klopp continued. "Jadon for sure can play in other positions and Mason can play in the centre, but there's not space anymore, so they share the wing if you want. That's a problem you want to have as a manager, actually, to be honest.

"Everything will be fine for Jadon, but hopefully not on Sunday."
