KEANE – ‘I HAVE TWO YEARS LEFT'

Last updated : 13 October 2004 By editor

Keano:

"I've had to adapt my game over the last year or two, but that's par for any footballer in his career. It's actually a tough discipline to rest, but I feel I've had to do that, even in the last few days following the match with France.

"I've had to lighten up and not be so intense in training, and that's something I will have to get used to because I enjoy training. I've not found it a problem. It's just a matter of getting used to it, and over the last few days I've just been relaxing and working on my own recovery.

"Yes, I have to rest more, my game has had to change and I have started to do yoga to help with stretching my muscles. But I still have a lot more to give yet. I am not on my last legs.

“I've got this year and next year left and I still feel I can give 100 per cent to my club and country in that time,"
