KEANE AND BROWN TO TOUR

Sir Alex Ferguson believes there’s still time for Roy Keane and Wes Brown to go on the Far East tour. He also revealed that they will have fitness tests to see if it will be worth their while traveling with the rest of the squad.

"There is every chance they will be going on tour," he said.

"Roy injured his hamstring in training last week. It's not a tear, it is just a tight one, and he has been doing gym work. Hopefully he will be back in training next week.

"Wes has been feeling his Achilles. It has been tender but he's back doing some light jogging. I will make a decision next Tuesday or Wednesday about whether or not they go on Thursday. But at the moment it is quite possible.

"I am keen for them to go, because those two weeks away - and the four matches - are vital to ensure the fitness is right for our Champions League qualifier on August 9 or 10."
