'KEANE IS OFF'

There is no denial of an argument with Ferguson but the suggestion that it resulted in Keane being forced to stay at home has been denied by Kennedy.

From The Sun:

'The allegation that Roy Keane was left out of the club tour of Asia because of a row with his manager is completely without foundation,' said Kennedy.

'He remained in Manchester in order to continue his treatment for a hamstring injury. Any disagreement he may have had with his manager is a private matter and will not be the subject of comment by him in the media.'

The story has some way to run yet and we can expect more quotes from the ‘warring’ parties over the coming week.

The Sun revisits all the arguments about the Portugal trip that we covered in yesterday’s news and finishes off with a claim that Keane will finish his United career at the end of this season.

From The Sun:

‘The club were considering offering him a deal for another year. But it is expected Keane will turn that down and decide to finish after this season.’
