"It is impossible to win the league every year but the disappointing factor for us is that we faded away and didn't give Arsenal a run for their money," Keane told MUTV.
"I am sure it won't happen again this year because the memory of that disappointment will spur us on. The evidence is that this club bounces back from disappointments and I believe we will do that this year."
Keane has been impressed by Liam Miller and Alan Smith:
"Liam is a box-to-box player who knows where the goal is, while Alan is hungry to get success after what happened at Leeds last season, But like any new player who arrives here, they have to be given time."
