"Today was a very important match for us. At the start of every season we talk about our aims for the season.

"Unfortunately, we have come up short in Europe and we have fallen behind in the league.

"We knew this was our only chance of getting something and it still is. But we have only won the semi-final, we have another game to play yet.

"People are entitled to their opinions and the criticism we have received has been spot on.

"The players and the manager are this club's biggest critics and we have all be disappointed with our performances this year.

"Now we have given ourselves the chance to win something, which would be great for the players, manager and fans.

"I don't really care who we get in the final," he said.

"We will respect them whoever it is. You can't get carried away with individuals because you will come up against people over the years. This is about Manchester United."
