"The Glazer family are not obsessed about money," He said.
"They are obsessed about the long-term positioning of Manchester United as a football club.
"We are not just trying to make a fast buck. We are trying to do things that make us stand out from the crowd. (Ed. well after that many fuck ups the club surely has managed that)
"We could have taken a bigger deal but we didn't. With the Glazer family's full backing, approval and awareness we took the deal which was right for Manchester United."
Anson then emphasised his lapdog status with his next pro Glazer tonguing.
"It is impressive when you have your owner come into a meeting," said Anson.
"To say `here is our owner Bryan Glazer' has an impact. We have had 100 meetings on this issue and he has had a positive impact in all of them."
Comparing match day to the board room, no wonder the club is in such a state.
"At the time Vodafone pulled out, the takeover was still casting a shadow over everything that was going on here," said Anson.
"Coupled with the performance on the pitch, it meant there was a lot of negativity.
"But I think we are through the storm now. The whole environment is far more positive than it was six to nine months ago.
"There is an incredible optimism about the place which you can see at games on match day and I also felt during the whole negotiating process.
"Other people might have felt I was slightly deluded but I never had any doubt we would get to where we are now."
