LARRY AND MICKY ON THE DERBY

Speaking to Manchester United radio, Silvestre said:

"It will be revenge - it has to be in our minds. It wasn't the losing at Maine
Road, it was the way we lost. We have to show in front of our crowd that we
are capable of beating City."

Injuries were no excuse:

"We started winning games without Roy, Nicky, Rio - all the key players. We
just made mistakes and didn't perform as a team"

"We knew we had the quality, but the attitude on the pitch was slightly
different from what we expect from United. We have character in this team,
and we have to show it every time. We have improved since the Newcastle
game. It was the start of the new phase of United this season."

"We hope it is going to stay like this until the end of the season. We still have
a lot of games coming up, and if we can carry on this form then it will be good.
If we can manage to stay in touch with Arsenal it will be good, it will be a lot of
pressure on their shoulders. I think Arsenal will be able to cope with that
pressure at the moment, but there is a long time to go until May."

Laurent joins in:

"It's very important. We knew that after the first match that the fans were
really low. We've got to repay the fans for the pain they suffered last time. It's
important for us, for the club and for the supporters. We've got to win the
game."

"We've got a few wrongs to right from the first game. We played badly in that
match, but it did make us realise that we had to pull up our socks. The run we
went on after that game is still going. Now we've got to make sure that City
get the message."

"The biggest Derby I've played in is the Milan Derby, and the Manchester
Derby is on a level with that,"

"It's the summit of sporting achievement to play in these games. They're the
biggest games as it's a huge game between two clubs from the same town."
