Helsingborgs have claimed the original loan deal for Henrik Larsson's switch to Manchester United will not be extended beyond March 12.

Larsson's club chairman Sten-Inge Fredin claims he has ended all doubts over Larsson's future by insisting the former Celtic striker must return in time for the start of the Swedish season.

“Let's end all the speculation. Henrik will be back at Helsingborgs after March 12. We would never have let him go otherwise.

“Henrik means so much to us, from both football and marketing perspectives, that there is no way we would let him be out on loan when the Swedish Premier League starts.”
