LEEDS CHAIRMAN TAKING NO CHANCES

Professor John McKenzie, the new Leeds chairman, has hired a
bodyguard to protect him at Elland Road. He wants to avoid
the problems that Peter Ridsdale suffered, and is taking no
chances.

"The pressure on Peter has been unreasonable,

"I want to have a reasonable life living in the Leeds area.

"I don't want to have my wife subjected to problems, or me
either. Hopefully we can over-ride that.

"Maybe it comes with the job. I've recognised it, but short-
term measures have been taken."
