LEEDS OFFER 25 YEAR SEASON TICKETS

Last updated : 25 March 2004 By Editor
The Independent report that Leeds are planning on releasing
25 year season tickets, priced at £5’000 each to help raise
money. Whether there’ll be a Leeds United in three years,
let alone 25, is debatable – another risk of such a deal is
highlighted by the article in the Independent:

‘Richmond used the same idea at Bradford City and found many
takers, but those supporters were plunged into uncertainty
when the administrators were called in after the club ran up
£36m debts. Bradford's new owners agreed to honour the
season tickets, but the worry for Leeds fans would be
putting in their money and finding that the club later goes
out of existence. There are no guarantees about where or
whether Leeds will be playing between now and 2029 even if
the price of the package is potentially a huge saving.’

Still, one's born everyday.
