‘Peter Reid, the Leeds manager, yesterday suffered his
second bout of double trouble this week when he learned Seth
Johnson had been charged with drink-driving and that the
unsettled Mark Viduka played for Australia on Tuesday
despite being injured.

‘Leeds confirmed the 24-year-old Johnson's motorway arrest,
made in the early hours of yesterday morning, in a short
statement and Reid said: "The matter will be dealt with
internally". The club said it would make no further comment.

‘A West Yorkshire police spokeswoman confirmed: "A 24-year-
old man from Wetherby has been charged with drink-driving,
speeding and racing on the highway, and bailed to appear at
Dewsbury magistrates court on August 29."

‘Earlier police said the man had been "arrested after he was
stopped on the M62 Chain Bar roundabout [near Bradford]
shortly after midnight."’
