LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL AGAIN

Roy Keane:

"There have been some good signs over the last few weeks. Our performances have improved, even against Manchester City I thought we played some decent stuff.

"But it is all about putting the ball into the net. Over the past few games, we have managed to do that. We have always created chances but once you start taking them, it really makes a hell of a difference to everyone around the club.

"I don't know if this will be a turning point because we have had decent results before, felt we were back and then we have slipped up and had a bad result. There is no doubt we have improved over the last few weeks. Now we need to keep it going.

"When you look at their results over the last few years, Lyon are not a bad side. They gave us a hard game over there and we knew it would be tough again. But we always fancy ourselves at Old Trafford and fortunately we got the result we wanted and with it another decent performance.

"It would be nice to win the group but who knows whether it will be important or not. Over the years we have always thought it would be but the game works in funny ways. I am sure the manager and coaching staff are looking at the bigger picture but from the players' point of view we are just focusing on the next game, which is against West Brom on Saturday.”
