LIARS FINED

Who'd have thought Maine Road would be amusing us after City had left it?

Siddy have been fined £25,000 for giving Southampton less than half of their ticket allocation for that memorable last match at Maine Road. Of the 3000 tickets Southampton would have normally expected they only got a mere 1305.
And to make matters worse for the Bitters a Premier League disciplinary
commission has also told them to offer half-price tickets to Saints' fans for this season's fixture. Which could cost City around £40,000.

They aren't even going to bother appealing either. Deputy Chairman Brian Bodek said:

"Whilst we are naturally disappointed that the recommendations of the Safety Advisory Committee were not wholly accepted, we are nevertheless pleased that the matter has now been resolved. We are satisfied that the FAPL Commission have thoroughly investigated the circumstances and we have accepted the fine imposed. We do not intend to make any appeal against this decision "

What makes it even better is that Southampton didn't even sell out the 1305 tickets given!
