LIPPI ON SATURDAY'S 'ACCIDENT'

Last updated : 18 February 2003 By Editor
Juve's boss speaking ahead of the Wednesday night clash:

"Firstly, the accident - as I call Manchester's (2-0) defeat by Arsenal - goes to
show how in football a wasted goal chance like (Ryan) Giggs's can change
the outcome of a match"

"Second, Manchester's loss only confirms the strength of Arsenal, which is
one of the best teams in Europe. I believe that in their heads, the (Manchester
United) players still have the desire to beat us, just as we want to do great
things in their back yard."

However he is confident that his team has what it takes:

"The team's got the right mentality, the right cool-headedness. It's in good
shape, both up top and in the feet"
