LIVE THE DREAM

David Beckham on winning the Champions League

"Other than lifting the World Cup, I would have to say lifting the European Cup at Old Trafford would be my ultimate dream," said Beckham.

"We've lifted the Premiership trophy in front of our fans at Old Trafford a number of times now and they are all memorable.

"But to win the European Cup in Manchester would be something special. Celebrating winning the biggest club competition in your home-town would really be an unforgettable experience."

"The dream would have been to play Real in the final as they are the current holders and have the world's greatest players playing for them," said Beckham.

And the fans.
"The fans have come to expect success every year following a very successful last decade," admitted Becks.

"But if, for one reason or another, it doesn't happen then I'm sure the fans will increase the pressure on the board and manager to invest in new players.

"But we can't worry about that. All we can do as players is give our best every time we play. If the manager or the board decide to make wholesale changes, that's ultimately their choice."
