"There has been a lot of talk about Alan Smith saying he'd be interested in a move to Manchester United. Any player in the Premiership would want Alan in their team and we are no different. He is a very good player and we would certainly welcome him at Old Trafford. I can't pretend there isn't a huge rivalry between ourselves and Leeds and it doesn't often happen that a player moves from one to the other. But recently Rio Ferdinand and Eric Cantona have done it. And in this day and age, I don't think the rivalry should affect Alan's decision."
