Man Utd agree fee with Borussia Dortmund for Jadon Sancho

Manchester United are on the verge of finally completing the signing of Jadon Sancho after reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund over a transfer fee.

The England international has been linked with a move to Old Trafford for nearly two years, and that long wait seems to be nearing an end.

Sky Sports in Germany report that Man Utd and Dortmund have agreed a fee of around €85m.

However, they add that the two clubs still need to agree to the structuring of the payment, including what conditional instalments will be added to the deal.

But the news is positive for United fans, who have long grown tired of speculation regarding the transfer. They were first linked with a move for Sancho way back in 2019, and although they were close to completing a deal last summer, they refused to meet Dortmund's valuation of the winger and he stayed at Signal-Iduna Park for another season.

It's previously been reported that personal terms should be relatively easy to agree, and Sancho could very soon be unveiled as a Manchester United player.

Still only 21, Sancho has scored a remarkable 50 goals in 137 games for Dortmund, and is the only member of England's Euro 2020 to have never played in the Premier League. He left Manchester City in 2017 after he wasn't given assurances of a pathway to the first team, opting to join Dortmund to continue his development.

Elsewhere in the transfer market, United are planning to meet the representatives of Rennes youngster Eduardo Camavinga this week.

The France international is believed to have his heart set on a move to fellow French side Paris Saint-Germain, though the Red Devils are still expected to try their luck with the 18-year-old. Rennes are keen to sell Camavinga or agree a contract extension with just 12 months left on his deal.
