O'Neill told TV2: "I have not requested anything about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Of course I fancy Solskjaer as a player, but there are a lot of footballers we are interested in. But whether we can afford them is a different matter."
Ole's agent, Jim Solbakken, also moved to quash the rumours: "It's just nonsense. We have heard nothing about it, it's just nonsense. He has been linked with Celtic before. We denied it then and deny it now. I don't want to bother to keep talking about this any longer."
