Manchester United are rumoured to be interested in signing Leicester's Ricardo Pereira but will have to wait until the summer to pursue the right-back, with the Foxes not interested in a January sale.
It's believed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will receive some financial backing from the United hierarchy over the next couple of windows and Solskjaer is keen on bolstering down the right flank, despite signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka for £50m in the summer.
However, according to French media outlet Le 10 Sport, United won't be alone in their pursuit of Pereira. Paris Saint-Germain see the Leicester right-back as the potential successor to Thomas Meunier and will certainly challenge the Red Devils in securing the Portuguese international's signature. A whole host of unnamed Serie A clubs are said to be interested as well.
Pereira has experience of playing in France after enjoying a two-year loan spell with Nice between 2015 and 2017. He then spent a season back at parent club Porto before making the move to the King Power.
At Leicester, the 26-year-old has established himself as one of the league's best right-backs. A stout and athletic defender who's more than capable in the final third, Pereira followed up his nine-goal contribution season in his maiden campaign with the Foxes with two goals and an assist halfway through his side's high-flying 2019/20 season thus far.
