Manchester United predicted lineup vs Brentford - Premier League

Manchester United could head into Monday's meeting with Brentford needing three points to keep their top-four hopes alive.

Ralf Rangnick's men sit five points adrift of Arsenal, having played two games more, and could be eight points off the top four if the Gunners can see off West Ham on Sunday. With only three matches remaining, United cannot afford a single slip-up between now and the end of the campaign - but even that is unlikely to be enough.

Here's how Rangnick could set up for the visit of Brentford.

David de Gea (GK) - United's European hopes would have been over weeks ago if it weren't for De Gea's heroics.

Diogo Dalot (RB) - Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been out with an unspecified issue so it's safe to assume that Dalot will start again.

Raphael Varane (CB) - Varane looks set for a rare season outside of the Champions League.

Harry Maguire (CB) - Illness kept him out of the Chelsea game but Maguire is expected to have recovered in time to feature here.

Alex Telles (LB) - Luke Shaw remains out so Telles will get another chance to win over the United fanbase.

Scott McTominay (DM) - The hope is that Fred will be back on the bench here, but McTominay will keep his spot in the starting lineup.

Nemanja Matic (DM) - Matic is in Fred's spot but would likely keep this place anyway after his assist for the equaliser against Chelsea.

Anthony Elanga (RM) - Elanga didn't have much luck last time out but is unlikely to lose his spot.

Bruno Fernandes (AM) - One goal needed to hit ten for the season in all competitions - but it's Fernandes' performance levels that really need to be upped.

Marcus Rashford (LM) - It looks like Jadon Sancho's season is over and it's entirely possible that Rashford has just three games left to save his United career.

Cristiano Ronaldo (ST) - Ronaldo has scored eight of United's last nine goals. They don't come more important than him.
