Marcus Rashford calls Erik ten Hag 'a joy to work with'

Marcus Rashford has labelled manager Erik ten Hag 'a joy to work with' as Manchester United continue to enjoy a strong start to the season.

After suffering humiliating defeats at the hands of Brighton and Brentford in their first two games of the season, United have begun to take shape under their new manager and now sit in sixth place in the Premier League.

The Red Devils host West Ham on Sunday knowing a win will take them back up to fifth, while their games in hand on Newcastle give them a chance of returning to the top four.

Rashford has endured a tough couple of years at the club, with his performances suffering and costing him his place in the England set-up.

But Ten Hag has given Rashford a chance to prove himself once more and the forward has rewarded his manager's faith with six goals in 14 appearances so far this season.

"The manager's a joy to work with, really," Rashford told PA Media. “Is it hard work? Yeah, but I think we are enjoying it and we’re playing better football.”

United have already claimed wins against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs this season, giving fans hope they might see their side qualify for the Champions League again in the near future.

Long-standing United stars such as Rashford and Bruno Fernandes are displaying their best form in years, while new signings Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez have brought newfound grit to the side.
