Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been given the go-ahead to step up his recovery from a serious back injury, after his latest round of scans produced 'encouraging' results.

Rashford did recently claim
"The club can confirm that Marcus Rashford has been cleared to step up his rehabilitation programme following encouraging signs on his latest scans. His progress will continue to be monitored by the club’s medical team throughout the current lockdown period," United said.
The Telegraph also report that due to the coronavirus pandemic, Rashford underwent the scans in his Cheshire home. And in accordance with UK government guidelines regarding appropriate social distancing, United's club doctor Steve McNally, the private radiographer and Rashford himself ensured that the necessary distancing measures were enforced.
It was unclear whether United's number ten would be able to feature again this season after his injury, but with the Premier League not due to resume until 30 April at the earliest, the Telegraph note that there is a chance he could play a part in the remaining fixtures - if and when the season does get back underway.
While Rashford will undoubtedly be keen to get back onto the pitch and pick up where he left off, he has been using his time during the lockdown to make a real difference. He has been working with a charity to help feed children in the Manchester area after schools were closed - and his work has ensured 400,000 youngsters will be handed a meal during this time.
