"Basle are a great little team and have got some good players, some quick players. We watched videos when they played Liverpool, Celtic and Valencia. For the first 60 minutes they played all three off the park, which is no mean achievement. So we knew they were going to come at us. We also knew that later in the game we were going to get chances. We caused Basle problems in the second half and in a 10-minute period we took the game away from them. We bided our time and played with a lot of confidence in the last 45 minutes."
