Fergie:

* "I don't anticipate any complacency because the form of the team is excellent.

"The area we have to pay attention to now is the goal difference because that could be important.

"At the moment, we are eight goals behind Chelsea and we have to do something about."

* "Gaby is 28 now. You cannot deny him the chance of playing in the biggest tournament in the game."

* "The area we have to pay attention to now is the goal difference," Sir Alex said. "It may be important.

"I look back at the Birmingham and Newcastle games recently and the chances we missed and I hope we don't live to regret them.

"But every game we are making a lot of chances. We have to be really focused and take them as they come along."

Neville:

"We cannot be complacent.

"There is just too much at stake."

Sunderland captain Steven Caldwell:

"It will be a tough game at Old Trafford but we will be positive, get the ball down and play. Our aim will be to give it a real go.

"We have not been relegated yet and we will keep fighting.

"If we can get a good result it will put us in good shape for the derby against Newcastle on Monday."

Sunderland's Tommy Miller:

"Our league position tells its own story but this weekend we've got two massive games with Manchester United and then Newcastle.

"We've got to go into both of them thinking we can get something. We have nothing to lose tonight because we are expected to be beaten, but we've got to go there and enjoy the occasion.

"I have not played at Old Trafford and as we've got quite a few young lads in the squad now, it's up to them to enjoy it because you don't know when the chance might come again.

"It's been a frustrating time for me as I want to be playing games. I got suspended after the Blackburn game after a fifth booking and have not been able to get my place as young Grant Leadbitter has come in and done an excellent job.

"I can't have any complaints so I'll just have to work hard and see what happens. But you want to be testing yourself against the best players and that's what Manchester United have - from the goalkeeper to the subs on the bench.

"That's why they are one of the best teams in the country and I expect them to chase Chelsea all the way - they won't give up until it's mathematically impossible.

"It's going to be a very tough game for us but we've played some good stuff this season and should have had more points. But you have to move on and we are looking for a good end to the season."

BBC:

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has played down fears Louis Saha will miss the rest of the season.

However, an ankle injury is likely to restrict the French striker to the bench, alongside the returning Gabriel Heinze. Wes Brown is set to start.

For Sunderland, who will be relegated unless they win, Rory Delap will play despite having suffered a broken nose in the game against Fulham.

Midfielder Julio Arca will be missing with a hamstring injury.
