"We started the game quite well, but the way we gave away the goal was typical of how we have played over the last few matches.
"To concede a goal from the first corner Manchester United had is shocking in a Premiership match. We tried to force the issue, but we made it easy for Manchester United in the end.
"Somewhere along the line we have to start putting it all together."
Fergie:
"There is a lot of confidence in the team at the moment but it was disappointing to concede the goal.
"It was a lack of concentration and it could have cost us. It is something we need to cut out.
"Ruud has a long-term contract and I am happy about that.
"We all know he is a fantastic player and he will get his opportunity again but at the moment Louis merits his place in the team at the moment because of his goals and his performances.
"It is unfortunate for Ruud but he just has to be patient, which he has been. He has never complained about the situation. His time will come again.
"I was very pleased with Vidic, he's getting better all the time and it's just a matter of getting confidence of playing in our league.
