Fergie:
* "We firmly believe that we have an outstanding chance now but we need a collapse.
"That's what we need and it can happen. It happened to us in 1992 when we lost three and drew one in the final week. Chelsea have important games coming up. They've got Bolton away, and can you see Bolton losing five in a row? I can't. They've got Blackburn away and on the last day of the season they go to Newcastle, for Alan Shearer's final game. There are a lot of things in our favour but the real decider will be at Stamford Bridge."
* "That was a real attacking performance. We felt we had to test Arsenal today and so we decided to get right at them. It was an important victory.
"I think the whole performance today was fitting. I think Wayne Rooney was, at times, absolutely sensational and we had other great players too. This club's always been built on young players who've entertained. If you go back to the Busby Babes, there's a legacy and what we're trying to do is to maintain that, that's all we can do. The history is there and it's something to live up to.
"The build-up was fantastic. I mean the form of both sides was absolutely superb. Arsenal's form in Europe has, without question, been outstanding and their league form has picked up also. But our form has been great too, there's no reason we couldn't continue that form and I think we produced that today.
"The manner of the victory is always important. From a manager's point of view you want the result, obviously, as that's what you're judged on, but also there's the part that Manchester United has always been famous for - entertainment value. Today I think they (the fans) expected to see a really good match between two fantastic football clubs who go head to head and produce some good football at times.
"I felt that with the form Arsenal were in, we had to put some tests to them, examine the parts we don't know yet, so we decided to go and attack them. The first 15 minutes... Arsenal always start well, it's a matter of control and discipline in that part of the game. I always want to get into the match and get our own rhythm and tempo going."
Wenger:
"I don't think Rooney was the difference between the teams. I just feel Manchester United were sharper than us physically and mentally after the first half-hour and that is why they deserved to win. We had chances in the first half that we didn't take and missed two great chances, through [Robin] van Persie and [Emmanuel] Adebayor, at 1-0. In a big game you must take your chances and score first.
''We were jaded. It is not new for us but this year we are in a much worse position in the league and we cannot afford to drop points."
Explaining why Henry was on the bench:
"He has played more games than the others and played twice against Juventus as a lone striker, which is difficult.
"I don't think Thierry Henry was a major factor in this result. We did not concede that first goal because Henry was on the bench."
Mourinho:
"It doesn't matter when we win it or who against. We just need to win all our matches. What United do can make it easy for us, but we don't need them. It's in our hands.
"Manchester United people were watching [our game] with a lot of emotion and that's the difference. They can be disappointed when we win matches, but when they win matches we are not disappointed because we don't need them to lose."
