Castleton Gabriels 0 FC United 3

β€˜An inspired display by Castleton Gabriels keeper Mark Canning wasn't enough to prevent FC United strengthening their foothold at the Moore and Co Solicitors League second division summit.

Canning's heroics restricted the unbeaten Reds to a 3-0 win which takes them six points clear of second-placed Winsford.

Rock-bottom Gabs' former player-boss stood between FC United and a rout in a game was played in front of 2,473 noisy fans at Radcliffe's Inn2Gether Stadium.

But Canning was beaten as early as the 11th minute by striker Rory Patterson and, with Castleton offering little up front, there was never the chance of an upset as FC United coasted to victory with further goals from Ryan Gilligan and Rob Nugent.’
