'West Brom boss Gary Megson has confirmed a player and member of staff were involved in an incident on the team bus after the Baggies' defeat at Liverpool on Saturday.
Megson moved quickly to confirm reports of an altercation and said Albion would be investigating.
"There was no 'mass brawl' as has been reported this morning," Megson said, "but there was an incident on the team bus between a member of staff and a player. It was broken up very quickly by others in the vicinity and it will be dealt with internally by the football club."
League Managers’ Association chief executive John Barnwell confirmed last night that Megson has been in touch about his situation at West Brom.
Barnwell said: "Gary contacted me and I would say something is coming to a head quite quickly. We know he’s had words with the chairman and he is a bit uncomfortable about it."
