The case against the former AC Milan team doctor, who was accused of exposing himself to a masseuse at a Salford hotel, has been dropped.

Armando Gozzini, 45, had denied deliberately exposing his genitals to the woman while staying at the Lowry Hotel before the team played Man Utd.

The case was abandoned after family problems meant the woman was unwilling to give evidence.

Mr Gozzini, who has left the Italian club, was bound over for 12 months.

This means he promises to be on good behaviour for the period and risks losing up to £500 if he breaches the peace.
