Both David Bellion and Ruud van Nistelrooy were happy with the result against Celtic. DB said:

"It was nice for me and great,"

"We've trained for two weeks, every day you look to improve, and it was a good debut.

"It was a good goal, good to remember for my debut.

"I've just got to keep going. There's a long way to go now.

"I play with the best players in the world, and learning every day. It's great. I am young, I have the opportunity to play in a big club so I am really happy. I cannot ask for more than this, it's great.

"It is like a little dream come true when you are young.

"I am happy to wear the shirt of Manchester United. It was an unbelievable reception because I am not used to this.

"I was focused on the game," he told MUTV. "Since the beginning because I have to make good impressions and work hard to do the best I can when I get on the pitch.

"When you are new, you are a bit shy, and you play with big players and it's good because they are really friendly with me and try to talk with me.

"It's a good team spirit, with a lot of jokes, and I am really happy."

RVN was also pleased with the first pre season match. He said:

"We looked fit and we played well. Celtic made the play, but it was their fifth pre-season game and our first.

"They had more of ball and more of play, but you couldn't see a big difference between the teams."

"It's great to start against great teams like Celtic and the other teams that we will face. They will bring us into shape we want to be in."

"It was a good start, it was one of my first touches in the game and it's always nice to start like that."

"We all had a good rest and looked after ourselves, so we've come back quite fit, Mike Phelan has had a great pre-season with us.

"The 4-0 scoreline was a bit much, but it's great to win in front of an amazing crowd. It was surprising to see how many United fans there are in America."

"You come to the US and you don't know what to expect - maybe everyone talking about "soccer". But they're great football fans, enthusiastic and they're United fans. What more can you want?"
