BBC:

"We are enjoying it greatly. It's a wonderful franchise and we just love it."

But he would not talk about fans' concerns over the future of the club.

The American, who was on his way to the annual NFL owners' meeting in Orlando, was asked: "Do you want to reassure fans about the future of Manchester United? Some are quite worried."

He replied: "I don't want to get into that now. I just want to say hello. I am here for a meeting."

Glazer, who also owns the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in American Football's NFL, added: "We (Manchester United) are going to do just great. It's a great franchise."

Many Manchester United fans fiercely protested against Glazer's £790m buyout of the club last summer.

"I don't want to get into that now.

"I just want to say Hello. I am here for a meeting."

As we reported yesterday, the preposterous Andy Anson said: "The Glazer family are not obsessed about money.

"They are obsessed about the long-term positioning of Manchester United as a football club.

"We are not just trying to make a fast buck. We are trying to do things that make us stand out from the crowd.

"We could have taken a bigger deal [sponsorship] but we didn't. With the Glazer family's full backing, approval and awareness we took the deal which was right for Manchester United."
