An earnest MD Peter Brookes phones in to assure us, in his eminently believable Bromwich accent, that he's held an enquiry after reading our news - our own source at MUTV had already confirmed this - and that no-one inside MUTV or its outsourced PR agency Eulogy leaked anything: all the four story-breaking hacks in question claim to have seen the Pancho bit on telly.
As indeed two of them confirmed to us. Brookesy was phoning Basle to chase this one down so at least someone at MUTV takes our trivial babblings seriously.
Question remains as to why an MUTV insider should've spread the story over here in the first place - and which MUTV-connected lad out in Basle was so keen separately to tell the same tale to our operatives on Sunday night....
anyhoo, meanwhile Brookesy wants to know "why the hardcore still haven't warmed" to his output yet, despite the increasingly fiery debates and phone-ins. perhaps punters could let us know...
