Brian Flynn (Swansea manager) told BBC Sport:
"I felt we needed a striker and I'm delighted that Daniel has agreed to sign for us
"He's an out and out goalscorer, he's quick and direct. He's scored 12 goals for Manchester United reserves already this season.
"He's coming to us to gain Football League experience and I know if we can give him the chances he will score goals.
"I'll be trying to push him towards playing for Wales now. I met his father last night, who I played with him back in the late 70s."
