NEVILLE TO GET SLAPPED WRISTS

Gary Neville has been charged by the FA for his goal celebration against Liverpool. This comes after it was mentioned in a police report despite ref Mike Riley missing the ‘incident’. Riley claims he would have booked Neville if he had seen it (Ed, Which surely would have been the end of the matter).

However with all the scouse whingeing that followed Neville could face a fine or a suspension if the scousers are to have their way. He has until 10th February to appeal.

The speed of the UEFA disciplinary panel showed no bounds yesterday after it eventually got around to charging Ronaldo for his one-fingered salute to the Benfica fans in the Champions League. He also risks a suspension.

Both players will however be available this weekend as Ronaldo finishes his suspension for the Red at the council house.
