The Manchester Education Committee has finally released a statement following Glazer´s takeover of Manchester United.

MANCHESTER EDUCATION COMMITTEE STATEMENT

Operation Uranus:

The Committee has noted the latest developments in the on-going takeover of Manchester United. At this stage it is disappointing that certain figures have not acted as befits their responsibilities to the club and its supporters. It is to be hoped that this situation is rectified as a matter of urgency.

The Committee would like to stress that it will at no stage will it seek out ´soft´ targets, but that it can only speak for its own members. Certain elements of United´s support are currently being kept in check, but the Committee can give no guarantee of this in the long term. To that degree, David Gill especially should be aware that personal information he placed in the public domain during a conversation with a shareholder during November´s AGM could prove extremely costly.

The Committee has also noted the denials of meetings between members of the club´s senior management and Glazer´s representatives. That the Committee knew of these meetings will once again bring home to the key targets that they are under constant surveillance.

Indeed, the Committee´s intelligence network has been compiling dossiers and information over recent months ready to implement Operation Uranus, the result of which will render the club ungovernable. All senior figures within the club are considered "fair game". All such intelligence will be disseminated to maximum detrimental effect.

The Committee reminds all parties that it will make good on all promises made in previous communiques, though the Committee has no intention of, nor any necessity to, race into any hasty actions. The deed is now done. The payback will be immense.
