Chilean coach Manuel Pellegrini has apparently been lined up
to take over the vacant assistant manager position at Old
Trafford.

His representative Luis Incera said:

"Manuel has been invited to send his CV to Manchester United
because the club are interested in filling the position of
assistant manager to Ferguson."

Pellegrini left River Plate late last year and will take charge
of the Chile national team in 2006 following the World Cup
in Germany. He is hoping to sample a different coaching
culture until then.
