BBC:

Ryan Giggs is set to return for Manchester United after being rested for the defeat at Everton in a bid to ensure he becomes fully fit.

However, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes are both suspended.

Newcastle midfielder Kieron Dyer will return to the squad following a ban but Lee Bowyer is still suspended.

There are fitness doubts over Amdy Faye and Steven Taylor, while Jermaine Jenas, Titus Bramble, Celestine Babayaro and Aaron Hughes are all out.

Shay Given:

"We know what a good side Manchester United are, because they showed us first-hand last weekend.

"If we're going to get a result at Old Trafford, we will have to play a lot better than we did in Cardiff."

Silvestre:

"If Laurent Robert starts well, we will have to keep an eye on him," said the former Rennes defender.

"He is very unpredictable but he does have a good left foot and we need to keep tight on him.

"Shearer is the other obvious danger, a real scoring machine. It doesn't seem to matter how old he is, he just keeps scoring goals."
