'Manchester United have revealed that manager Sir Alex Ferguson has had a pacemaker fitted. The operation was carried out last week and Ferguson was back in work the following day.
'"I want to reassure fans that everything is OK, I feel fine," the 62-year-old Scot said today, ahead of the Manchester derby at Eastlands on Sunday.
'"It was an option for me to get this done. The club knew about it and I feel great, so it's business as usual.
"I enjoy the work I do and it will continue," he said.'
