King Kev wanted to bring Mcmanamanamanamanaman to
Manchester but even though he is available on a free
transfer and willing to take a drop of £35’000 a week,
City can’t afford his wages.

City chairman John Wardle:

"Sorry Mr Keegan, we've just taken a big chunk out of
your transfer kitty. So you can understand why know he
probably hasn't got the transfer kitty he really
deserves. But we have got the stadium.

"So we will have to generate it and go another season or
two before we can start saying there's big money around.
But Kevin is a great manager, he's very commercial he
understands the situation. He knows exactly where we are
and will react accordingly."
