Welbeck was caught doing 82mph in a 50mph zone and Manchester magistrates have given the United star a £65 fine, £360 costs and ordered to pay a £15 surcharge.
Welbeck escaped a ban even though he initially denied the charge and also refused to pay an on the spot fine.
He did however get three points on his driving licence.
